Italian restaurant opening in Greenpoint offering regional Italian pastas and proteins, with some Italian sandwiches for lunch service. Owner is putting final touches on the restaurant with dimly lit design featuring black marble countertops and red accents.
Da Toscano
Italian restaurant relocating from Minetta Lane to midtown inside the century-old Iroquois Hotel. Will maintain similar menu with octopus carpaccio, pappardelle with duck ragu, and dry-aged steaks. Adding breakfast and lunch service. Also taking control of adjacent Lantern’s Keep cocktail lounge.
Raising Cane’s
Raising Cane’s chicken franchise location in Staten Island delayed due to city approvals process. Company signed contract in May 2024 for former strip mall property. Opening projected about a year away after permits are secured.
Lou & Bev’s
Bakery by day, wine bar by night concept headed by pastry chef Mariah Neston. Will serve pizza in evening service. Located next door to Confidant restaurant in former Pip’s space.
Caffetteria
Chef Julian Medina is opening a Spanish tapas restaurant called Caffetteria on the Upper East Side, next door to his existing restaurant Soledad. The space formerly held Enzo Bruni La Pizza Gourmet and will seat 62 people.
UES Tavern
New upscale restaurant from Seamore’s co-founder Jay Wainwright, serving sophisticated menu from burgers to lobster thermidor. Will replace former Seamore’s location with 137-seat capacity.
Linda’s
Intimate 400 square-foot restaurant owned by husband-and-wife duo Linda and Victor Shkrelja, who also run Italian spot Lex Restaurant. Space formerly housed Table d’Hôte, will fit 10 tables and 20 people. Operating hours 4-10pm Mon-Thu, weekend brunch noon-10pm.

Sora
High-end Japanese omakase restaurant signing 20,496-square-foot lease for ground floor and lower level at 1370 Broadway. This is their second location after signing a lease at One Grand Central Place in October.
