Arkansas-based ‘fresh-Mex’ restaurant opening in former Bravo! Italian Kitchen location. Will be fourth location nationally and first in KC metro. Coastal Mexican concept with fish-focused menu, fresh salsas made daily, and margaritas with juice squeezed every four hours.
Kiyoshi Omakase
Eight-seat omakase-style sushi restaurant offering 14 courses for $98, with fish flown daily from Japan. Chef Jerry Cao previously co-founded Zen Sushi Omakase in NYC. Soft opening scheduled for April 3.
Flower Child
Arizona-based healthy eatery Flower Child plans to open its first Johnson County location at Corinth Quarter shopping center. The restaurant serves salads, wraps, sweet potato noodle bowls, and other healthy fare. This will be their first Kansas City metro area location.
Thai Orchid
Thai Orchid will open a new location in downtown Shawnee’s Marigold building. The restaurant will close its original Mission location after 35+ years when the new spot opens. Owner aims for a ‘homey’ feel with menu similar to their Northland location.

Colorado-based bagel chain expanding to sixth Johnson County location in Olathe, taking over former GameStop space near K-7 and Santa Fe Street
Ziggi’s Coffee
Drive-thru-only Ziggi’s Coffee location opening with a Week of Deals featuring daily discounts, giveaways and community fundraiser. Operating hours Monday-Friday 5am-7pm, weekends 6am-7pm.
Clementine’s Ice Cream
Missouri-based ice cream shop opening second Johnson County location at Lenexa City Center in newly-built space. Serves all-natural ice cream with dairy-free options. Part of AC Hotel & Residence Inn by Marriott project.
Austin’s Bar and Grill
New Austin’s Bar and Grill location opening as part of County Square Commons development with rooftop dining. Construction underway with late summer/early fall completion target.
