Golden Corral buffet restaurant planning to open in Baytown. $4,000,000 construction project for 9,258 square-foot eatery. Construction slated to start August 2026 and wrap up by April 2027. Franchisee is John Gomez of Gomez Family Enterprises.
Banh Mi Saigon
Vietnamese sandwich shop opening new location. Construction starts in two weeks and wraps up end of June. Offers variety of Vietnamese sandwiches, noodles, soups, and bubble tea.
Hard Eight BBQ
Hard Eight BBQ is opening its first San Antonio location at Bass Pro Outdoor World. Construction is slated to start beginning of April 2026 and wrap up November 1st, with opening expected before end of year. The 17,300 square-foot location will offer Texas-style BBQ straight from the pit.
Angry Chickz
California-based hot chicken chain opening first San Antonio location. Construction slated to start in April and wrap up by July. Over 2,100 square-foot restaurant space in Commons at Tezel Road.
Bar Bludorn
Chef Aaron Bludorn expanding his neighborhood tavern concept to The Woodlands with a $2.5 million renovation of former Baker Street Pub space. Will feature similar menu to Memorial location including country ham beignets, short-rib Reuben, and fried chicken with peanut butter gravy.
Shug’s Bagels
Fourth location of Shug’s Bagels, owned by Justin Shugrue who started the brand in Dallas during pandemic. Originally planned to open fall 2025 but delayed due to permitting issues. Still doesn’t know exact opening date as of spring 2026.
Taqueria de 10
Taqueria de 10 is expanding with a Westlake location slated for April 2026. The restaurant already has existing locations and recently opened a South Lamar location.
Austin Oyster Co.
Popular oyster pop-up opening first brick-and-mortar location in East Austin bungalow. Raw bar featuring rotating East Coast oysters, Maine lobster rolls, and other seafood dishes. Team has deep roots in Austin dining scene.
The League Kitchen & Tavern
American comfort food restaurant with Prohibition-era cocktails. Construction beginning with groundbreaking ceremony March 27, 2026. Work expected through remainder of year. Part of TC4 & Co. Hospitality group. Opening alongside Tony C’s Pizza & Beer Garden at same location.
