New bar concept from Outta Sight Pizza owners moving into former Pomeroy Bar & Grill space. Will serve classic bar fare including burgers and martinis at approachable prices. Named after early leaders in San Francisco’s sex workers’ rights movement.
North Italia
North Italia’s first Bay Area location opening at Plaza Escuela. 8,500+ sq ft space seating 200+ guests with indoor dining and outdoor bar. Features house-made Italian dishes, hand-tossed pizzas, and craft cocktails. Currently hiring through March 8.
Kiri
Japanese pop-up restaurant transitioning to brick-and-mortar serving Japanese-inspired pub-style dishes including sashimi, beef teriyaki, and fresh seafood in a casual, homelike environment. Owners are former Rintaro employees funding buildout through Kickstarter campaign.
The Slanted Door
Renowned Vietnamese restaurant returning to original Valencia Street location after seven-year hiatus. Led by executive chef Dong Choi following founder Charles Phan’s death. Will serve signature modern Vietnamese cuisine including fresh spring rolls, shaking beef, and vermicelli bowls.
Tony Gemignani Slice House
Tony Gemignani’s Slice House franchise opening in San Jose at the former Blaze Pizza location in San Jose Marketcenter. Will offer New York, Sicilian, Grandma and Detroit-style pizzas sold by the slice or whole pie.
Chason’s Crab Stadium
Second location of Elk Grove seafood restaurant known for Cajun seafood boils, Vietnamese and Asian-inspired flavors, and sports-bar atmosphere. Taking over current Taiko Sushi space at Broadstone Marketplace.
Chicken Go-Go
Fast-casual chicken eatery opening in 1,100-square-foot space at Southport Town Center. Will focus on chicken favorites including crispy tenders, sandwiches, wings, and combo plates. Same owner as neighboring Aloha Poke & Ramen.
Reggie and Maude’s
New dive bar from Outta Sight Pizza owners taking over Pomeroy Bar & Grill in Tenderloin. Plans include top-tier bar food at affordable prices, expanded kitchen, new hood, and accessible bathroom. Will continue live music events.
Slice House
Slice House by Tony Gemignani, a fast-casual pizza concept, is opening in the former Dog Haus space in Pacific Commons Shopping Center. The location will be operated by Hersh Mahavni and Pritika Rajasanshi and will feature New York, Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit-style pizzas, plus pastas, wings, and salads.
