Super Duper Burgers

Super Duper Burgers selected to operate cafe on east side of Union Square. Five-year lease with two five-year extension options. Space includes outdoor seating and below-ground food storage facilities. Will be the 19th Super Duper Burgers location in Bay Area.

Restaurant and piano lounge at the Huntington Hotel on Nob Hill reopening after renovation with makeover by designer Ken Fulk, coinciding with the hotel’s 100th anniversary

De Caché

High-end lounge opening in upstairs level of Victorian building, featuring luxe interior and classic cocktails with Mexican twist. Private reception Jan 17, then open to public 8pm-1am initially Fridays and Saturdays.

The Breakfast Club at Midtown

Bay Area-based breakfast chain expanding to Folsom location in former Five Guys space. Known for creative American breakfast and lunch offerings including Chicken Apple Omelette, Corned Beef Hash, and Bacon Cheese Burger.

Midtown Live

Bar-and-restaurant concept with live music, food, and full bar in former Goldfield Trading Post space. 13,000-square-foot venue by Kash Hospitality Group. Lease already signed but no official opening timeline announced.

Haraz Coffee House

Michigan-based Yemeni coffee chain expanding to Natomas location. Commercial remodel permit filed for 2,389-square-foot space. Known for Yemeni-style coffee drinks including qishr and Adeni chai.

Unnamed Middle Eastern Restaurant

Bay Area restaurateur Javed Ahmadi is opening a new Middle Eastern restaurant in the former Buca di Beppo location. Ahmadi owns My-O-My Shawarma in Berkeley and Chopan Kabob in Concord and San Ramon. Plans to renovate the 8,550-square-foot building before opening.

Ume Tea

Bubble tea chain opening four new Bay Area locations in Walnut Creek, San Jose, San Mateo, and San Francisco. Walnut Creek location expected to open at end of December, others around beginning of new year. Company has 29 stores total with 25 company-owned.

Oceania Fish Bar

New seafood concept taking over former Walnut Creek Yacht Club location. Plans include substantial renovation of mid-century modern structure, adding 1,360 sq ft ground floor space and expanding outdoor seating. Led by Ghaben family with 40+ years restaurant experience.

Creekside Grill

Creekside Grill will close temporarily in early 2026 for major renovations including kitchen, bar, and dining room upgrades. New operator Rodney Worth will take over operations after renovations are complete. Worth operates multiple area restaurants and brings executive chef experience.
